GARDNER – Sandra A. Erickson, 64, of 52 Bickford Hill Road, died peacefully at her residence, Friday morning, May 30th, with her family at her side.
She was born in Gardner on December 22, 1949, daughter of Ann L. (Nord) Erickson of Gardner and the late Walter Erickson and graduated from Gardner High School in 1969. She later attended Mount Wachusett Community College.
Sandy worked for several years as a teacher’s assistant in the Athol-Royalston School District. Most recently, she had worked as a dental assistant. A member of the former First Lutheran Church, where she was a member of its choir, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Gardner. Sandy taught Sunday School in both churches, totaling over 40 years. Her hobbies included reading, following Boston area sports teams and especially the United States Navy sports teams. In addition to her other interests, Sandy sang in the Pro-Musica in Harvard, MA and the annual Messiah at Franklin Pierce College.
In addition to her mother, she leaves two brothers, Bruce Walter Erickson of Middletown, NY and Dana Allan Erickson and his wife Paula (Stone) Erickson of Phillipston and two nieces, Larissa Erickson and Krista Erickson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7th at 11 A.M. in Faith Lutheran Church, 627 Green Street, Gardner. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 9:30 to 11 A.M. in the church.
