Shirley A. Martioski

OTTER RIVER – Shirley A. ( Hentnik) Martioski, 69, of 41 Old Winchendon Road, Otter River, died peacefully Thursday evening, January 20th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

She was born in Gardner on February 15, 1941, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Morze) Hentnik, and had lived in Otter River since 1968.

Shirley worked for many years as an assembler at Simplex Time Recorder Co. until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, working with ceramics and bowling. She was a very giving person, who found her greatest enjoyment from spending time with her family.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Robert T. Martioski; two children, Gary A. Martioski of Athol and Lori J. Martioski-Taylor and her husband Clark of Germantown, MD; three grandchildren, Erin Martioski, Andy Martioski and Madison Taylor; one sister, Sheila A. L’Etoile and her husband Larry of Winchendon and several nephews, nieces and many friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward Hentnik, Albert Hentnik and Paul Hentnik and one sister, Pauline Voller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 26 th at 10 A.M. in Holy Cross Church, Lake Avenue, East Templeton. There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Gardner in the spring.
