WINCHENDON - Stanley A. Koldys, 87, of 315 Spring Street, died Saturday, July 16th in the Hillcrest Nursing Center, Fitchburg following an illness. He was born in Gardner on November 12,1917, the son of Antonio and Blanche (Rembisiewski) Koldys, and had resided in Winchendon for 55 years. Stanley was a gas station attendant at Newcomb and Walsh in Gardner before his retirement in 1989. He was an Army veteran of World War 2, serving in Normandy, the Rhineland and Northern France. He was a member of the Eugene M. Connor Post #193 of Winchendon. Stanley leaves his wife of 58 years, Nedina M. (Marinelli) Koldys; a daughter, Joyce A. Churchey of Sterling; a brother, John Michalski of Templeton; a sister, Regina Budzik of Charlestown, NH; 4 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, William Koldys. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 20th from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, July 19th from 6-8 P.M. with a Legion Ritual at 7:30 P.M.
