Susan Ellen (Farrar) LaFord died June 19 with Ed by her side.

She was born in Winchendon, MA, on July 27, 1946, to Albert Farrar, and Shirley (Boutelle) Farrar. She was raised by her mother and Grandparents Kenneth Boutelle and Hazel (Plummer) Boutelle.

She attended Winchendon Schools and graduated from Murdock High School, in 1964.

Susan married Edward A. LaFord on May 18, 1968, in Troy, NH. They moved to Nashua, NH, then lived in Merrimack, NH for 28 years. In 1988 They moved to Lake Monomonac on property owned by her great-grandfather Abiel Plummer. In 2000 they moved into their new dream house and lived there ever since.

She was a member of the Mayflower Society, a descendant of John Howland. She was a member of the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association Aux Chapter 5-4. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and past president of Merrimack, NH post 8641. She was also a member of the American Legion Aux Unit 13, Greenville, NH. She was a member of the Keene Eagles Aux Aerie 1413.

Susan leaves her husband Edward A. LaFord, Sr; one son Charles Michael LaFord and his wife Christine, and two grandchildren, Joseph Edward LaFord and Lyanna Joyce LaFord.

She is predeceased by a son Edward A. LaFord, Jr, who died on July 10, 1988.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Jaffrey VFW Post 5613, Hathorn Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 13, 13 River Street, Greenville, NH 03048, or the Kitty Rescue, 11 Plantation Drive, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
