Susan (Dery) Allmond

WINCHENDON - Susan (Dery) Allmond, 53, of 1331 Harrisville Circle, Winchendon, died early Sunday morning, August 20th in her residence following an illness. She was born in Winchendon on June 15,1953, the daughter of the late Jeremiah D. and Marian A. (Ackert) Dery, and was a lifelong resident. Her mother died July 30th. Sue was a graduate of Murdock High School with the Class of 1971 and received her Associates Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. She was a legal secretary for Attorney John A. Mizhir for many years before her retirement two years ago due to illness. Sue was an avid golfer and was a former Ladies Club Champion at the Winchendon Country Club. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Sue leaves her husband of 14 years, John J. Allmond; a daughter, Christine Kosakowski of Fitchburg; two step-daughters, Jessica N. Allmond and Amanda M. Allmond, both of Washington state; two brothers, Robert J. Ackert and Jack A. Ackert, both of Barre, and several aunts, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24th at 11 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate.
