Susan Marie (Vaughan) Witt

Susan will be dearly missed by her husband of 25 years, John; her daughters Lauria and her husband Thomas Kamataris of Holden, MA, Amanda and her husband Shane Eastman of San Antonio, TX and Stephanie and her boyfriend CJ Johnson of Winchendon and her grandchildren, Madison and Jonathan Kamataris. Susan is also survived by her mother, Marion (Dowling) Vaughan, her sisters, Maureen and her husband Stephen Clark and Joanne and her husband Christopher Collupy, all of Braintree, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Susan was predeceased by her father, Edward Vaughan, in 1998.
Born in Quincy on October 18, 1954, she was a 1972 graduate of North Quincy High School. Susan was a 30 years resident of Winchendon, where she was very active in her community. She served as a secretary to the Finance Committee, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Fourth of July Committee. Later Susan was elected to the Winchendon School Committee, where she served for nine years. Most recently, Susan was employed as a Program Management Specialist in Naval Communications for TeleConsultants of Middleton, Rhode Island.
A devoted wife and mother, Susan cherished each moment spent with her family, including her dogs. Family and friends hold dear memories they share with Susan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, December 13th from 5 to 8 P.M.
