ORLANDO, FL – Sylvia J. (Ricord) Maliska, 80, of Orlando, died February 14th at her home in Orlando.
She was born in Winchendon on May 4, 1934, daughter of the late Silva J. and Alice (Robert) Ricord and moved to Florida in 1977.
Sylvia had worked at The Winchendon School from 1971 to 1977. After moving to Florida, she worked for ten years at Palm Beach International Airport and then worked five years at Orlando International Airport.
Her husband, Anthony J. Maliska, died in 1966. She leaves four sons, Mark Maliska of West Palm, FL; Peter Maliska, Matthew Maliska and Mark Maliska of Orlando; one daughter, Toni Ann Deutsch and her husband Ken of Royal Palm Springs; six grandsons and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Philip Ricord and his wife Jeannette of Gardner; three sisters, Jeanette A. Blouin, Helen Lorraine Adams and Phyllis V. St. Pierre of Winchendon; a daughter-in-law, Darlene LeBreton of Lantana, FL and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Richard Ricord, predeceased her.
Graveside services will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon at a day and time to be announced in the spring.
