Theresa N Beauvais

Theresa N. (Lebel) Beauvais, 96, of Winchendon, MA, passed on March 8, 2025. Born in Millbury, MA, on November 19, 1928, the daughter of Frank J. and Laura (Vaillancourt) Lebel. Theresa attended the Assumption School in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School in 1947. Upon her marriage to Clifford P. Beauvais in 1947, she moved to Winchendon, MA where she resided for the past 78 years.

While a resident of Winchendon, Theresa, attended Mount Wachusett Community College, where among various subjects, she took a course in the history of New England, leading to her life-long commitment to the Winchendon History and Cultural Center, which she served in many capacities ultimately retiring as President in 2011. Theresa was a lifelong communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Winchendon and was a member of the choir for over 20 years.

In 1958, Theresa became a licensed insurance broker and began working with her husband, owner of the C.P. Beauvais Insurance Agency in Winchendon. The couple additionally owned the former E.F. King Agency in Ashburnham and a Hallmark Card Shop named “Happiness Is” in Fitchburg, MA which they jointly operated for 18 years.

Theresa leaves behind four children, Linda B. Fenlason, (James), Longmeadow, MA, Joyce M. Beauvais, Winchendon, MA, James C. Beauvais (Phyllis) Rindge, NH, Joanne B. Slavin ( Gary) of Charlotte, NC, and daughter-in-law, Kelly Beauvais. A son, Christopher J. Beauvais, and a daughter, Lisa A. Beauvais, predeceased her. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford. She was also predeceased by her five siblings, Pearl Hoogasian, Paul Lebel, Gloria Foster, Richard Lebel, and Francis Lebel. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Laurie,(Geneva) Jeffrey, (Kristin) and Jason, (Abby) Fenlason; Ian Moreau, (Emily) and Jennifer Terranera, (Sergio) Matthew Beauvais, Tyler, and Zachary Slavin, Olivia, Noah, and Owen Beauvais and 11 great children and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475. Theresa's funeral will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon, MA 01475. Her burial will be at a later date.
