Fitchburg-Theresa M. (Hurley) Paul, 94, died Thursday, June 29, 2023, at HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after an illness.
She was the wife of the late, Norman L. Paul.
Theresa leaves eleven children, Joanne Keenan and her husband Brian of Fitchburg, Gerald Paul and his wife Angela of NC, Dennis Paul and his wife Sue of Gardner, Stephen Paul of Fitchburg, Karen Duval and her husband John of Westminster, Thomas Paul and his wife Lois of Utah, Catherine Paul of Fitchburg, Tim Paul and his wife Renee of Baldwinville, Lisa Sicard and her husband Thomas of Fitchburg, Michele Paul-Hilliard and her husband John of FL, and Shaun Paul of Templeton; 37 Grandchildren; 59 Great-grandchildren and one Great great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by a son, Kenneth Paul, his wife Elaine, and five brothers, Edward, Lawrence, James, Robert, and David.
Theresa was born in Fitchburg on February 28, 1929, a daughter of James Edward and Marie Anna (Roy) Hurley. She was a 1947, graduate of Fitchburg High School. She worked at Fitchburg Yarn and retired as a longtime employee of the former Bay State Curtain Co. in Fitchburg.
She was proud to be the matriarch of five generations of her family. She was a devout catholic. She enjoyed board games, playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino. She truly loved spending time with her family and especially family outings.
Theresa’s funeral will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 18 Pleasant Street, Baldwinville, MA 01436.
Her burial will be private in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
