RINDGE, NH - Thomas F. Moriarty, 78, of 41 Sunset Drive, died Sunday morning, July 31st in the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough. He was born in Leicister, MA. on May 13,1927, the son of John J. and Ida E. (Duval) Moriarty, and had lived in Rindge for 26 years, after moving from Winchendon, where he lived for most of life. For over 30 years, Tom was a maintenance man at the former Winchendon Hospital, and then continued in that capacity at the present Winchendon Health Center. Many years ago, he had worked as a painter for the Martin and Gingras families. He also performed maintenance tasks for several Winchendon families. He attended Winchendon schools. During World War 2, he served in the United States Navy. His hobbies included painting and helping people in need. He leaves a son, Jonathan K. Moriarty of Rindge; one grandson, Joshua T. Moriarty; one great grandson, Jacob T. Moriarty; his loyal companion of 37 years, Bernice A. Blouin of Rindge; a brother, John J. Moriarty of Aho, AZ.; a sister, Maryellen Pollier of Gardner and several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, George A. Moriarty and Eugene P. Moriarty, Sr., predeceased him. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, August 4th in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Deacon Paul Carrier will officiate. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3rd. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date.
