GARDNER – Thomas P. Hyre, 54, of Gardner died Sunday, April 20th.
He was born in Gardner on June 23, 1959, the son of Priscilla A. (Graves) Hyre Roy of Gardner and the late Ronald P. Hyre and was a resident of Gardner for most of his life.
Tom most recently worked as a truck driver. He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was awarded the American Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, M-16 Sharpshooter Qualification Badge and Hand Grenade Marksman Qualification Badge.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his brothers and sisters, Donna C. Stowell and her husband James of Gardner, David C. Hyre of Leominster and Wendy E. Gagnon and her husband Kenneth of Fitchburg; his stepfather, Jean R. Roy of Gardner; a special friend, Brenda Klash of Gardner and her son Jamie and a stepbrother, Alan Roy and his companion Nancy Trout of Leominster, as well as nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services and burial were held in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.
