Valerie Pelchat

WINCHENDON – Valerie (Forrest) Pelchat, 65, of 22 Pine Street, died Wednesday afternoon, August 5, 2020 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester after a long illness.

She was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 22, 1955, daughter of the late Gordon and Marilyn (Stone) Forrest and had lived in Winchendon for many years.

Valerie worked for many years in the bore grinding department at New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough, NH.  until her retirement.  She loved to read, crochet and enjoy her favorite television shows.  She especially treasured time with her family and playing bingo with her friends.

She leaves her husband, Lawrence Pelchat; two children, Victoria Strickland and her husband Chad of Ardmore, PA and Mark Pelchat of Winchendon; a granddaughter, Aurelia Strickland; a brother, Mark Forrest, a sister, Paula Cronin as well as nephews.  She was preceded in death by a two sisters, Pamela Couture and Faith Merriam and a brother Bradley Forrest.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
