SILVER SPRING, MD. - Violetta M. (Braulini) Posich, 89, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Winchendon, MA., died peacefully Wednesday evening, September 2nd in Suburban Hospital, Silver Spring. She was born in Gorizia, Italy on January 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Antonio and Olga Maria (Perco) Braulini, and taught Italian and piano at The Winchendon School during the 1970's and early 1980's. Violetta lived at Ingleside and later on Maple Street until moving to Maryland. While living in Winchendon, she was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Violetta was preceded in death by her devoted husband Lewis Posich, the former Headmaster of The Winchendon School, her cherished grandson Vito Posich, and her beloved son Alan Posich . She is survived by four of her children, Ingrid Braulini of Grantham, NH, Kim Posich of Alburquerque, NM, Gwen Myers of Charlotte, NC, and Enid Foster of Silver Spring, MD, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Violetta's generosity of spirit, and her love of music, animals and life itself touched people in a way that had even those who knew her for a short while, stay in contact with her throughout her life. She maintained her vivaciousness and sense of humor until her final day. She will be greatly missed by so many. Private graveside services will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.
