WINCHENDON - Walter F. Clement, 85, of 109 Hale Street, Winchendon, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, November 4th, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was born in Winchendon on April 15,1923 and graduated in 1941 from Murdock High School. Walter entered the United States Army in 1943 and proudly served for three years until his discharge in 1946. He attained the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon, American Theatre Campaign Ribbon and Victory Medal. Walter worked for many years as Manager of Plating at the former Collier- Keyworth Company in Gardner until their closing. He was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion and the Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 V.F.W. Walter attended Bethany Bible Chapel and enjoyed gardening. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Judith A. (Epps) Clement; a brother, Raymond E. Clement of Baldwinville and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7th at 11 A.M. in the Bethany Bible Chapel, 727 Spring Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Edwin Lindquist will officiate. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
