TEMPLETON - Walter S. Kenney, 51, of 93 Rainbow Drive, East Templeton, died Sunday afternoon, October 1st at the home of close friend in Gardner, after an illness. He was born in Winchendon on September 11,1955, the son of Oliver and Marie (Roberts) Kenney of Templeton and lived in the Templeton area for most of his life. Walter was a furniture maker for many years at Fall Mountain Furniture Company in Templeton. He was a 1973 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School. He enjoyed the simple things in life. His hobbies included gardening, working with his hands, handyman creative activities and his enjoyment of many outdoor activities. His wife, Debra (Lynch) Kenney, died on September 8th. Besides his parents, he leaves two daughters, Meagan M. Turner of Malden and Mylah Kenney of Gardner; a step-daughter, Corrine Smith of Ashburnham; four sisters, Wanda Courtemanche of Ellsworth, Maine, Linda Hamel of Houlton, Maine, Laura Bryant of Templeton and Odina Dow of Westminster; two grandchildren, Madison Sund and Zachary Smith, many nephews and nieces, as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 4th at his residence, 93 Rainbow Drive, East Templeton. There are no calling hours.
