Wanda D. (Petrovich) Strazdas

TEMPLETON – Wanda D. (Petrovich) Strazdas, 88, of 36 Depot Road, East Templeton, died peacefully Tuesday, January 17th at her residence.

She was born in Gardner on April 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Peter and Jennie (Popierolaski) Petrovich and had lived in East Templeton for many years.  Wanda worked as a telephone operator for 30 years at New England Telephone Company until her retirement in 1978.  She was a member of Holy Cross Church, East Templeton.

She was the wife of the late Adam Strazdas and is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Chippy.  A sister, Dorothy Petrovich, predeceased her.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, East Templeton.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner.
