Yvonne Pofs

GARDNER - Yvonne (Bourgeois) Pofs, 89, formerly of 72 Bayberry Drive, died Sunday morning, October 28, 2018 in Broadview Assisted Living, Winchendon.

She was born in Gardner on September 3, 1929, daughter of the late Emilien and Claudia (Vincent) Bourgeois and lived in Gardner for many years ago until moving to Winchendon a few days before her death.

Yvonne had worked as a direct care worker for the disabled for the State of Massachusetts until her retirement in 1992.  She enjoyed quilting and making blankets.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her husband of 65 years, Philip O. Pofs, died in April.  She leaves four children, Sheila Deane of CA, Nancy Cobb and her husband Darren of FL, Jane Gregoriou and her husband James of Hubbardston and Joyce Pofs-Driscoll of Cohasset; a brother George Bourgeois of Ashburnham and six grandchildren.  A brother, Raymond Bourgeois, preceded her in death.

Private graveside services will be held in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
